The first Miss & Mrs Cross Continent event in Dublin showed how a pageant can combine cultural diversity, leadership and practical community education.
Twenty-four women from seven countries participated in the programme, which was attended by approximately 450 guests at the Church of Scientology & Community Centre.
The pageant was organised by Miss & Mrs Cross Continent Events Ltd., with support from Broccoli Care Ltd. and cooperation from The Truth About Drugs Ireland.
The programme began with an educational exhibition where visitors could review factual information about drugs, addiction and eu news farsi prevention. Some participants completed all fourteen educational modules, demonstrating that their preparation went beyond the traditional pageant format.
Cllr. Francis Timmons, Mayor of South Dublin, spoke during the programme about the importance of bringing communities together through education.
Guests enjoyed performances representing Irish, Indian and Indonesian traditions throughout the afternoon.
The principal title was awarded to Niveditha Vudayagiri, a software engineer who holds a master’s degree in AI. The first runner-up title went to Fortunate Lindokuhle Masina, followed by Yuki Yuliatin as second runner-up.
The event demonstrated how multicultural celebrations can also provide a platform for education, responsibility and positive community engagement.
